The name RondHeel comes from ‘rondo’ (French: rondeau) and is a poetic form that dates from the Middle Ages. It was especially popular among rhetoricians in the fifteenth and sixteenth century. Later on, this verse form disappeared although the musical counterpart remained popular into the eighteenth century. The rondo is a poetic form in which lines are repeated throughout the text to add EXTRA DEPTH and EXTRA STRENGHT.
